What are my feelings going into the first essay?

I am excited about starting school and especially this class, as well as looking forward to my first assignment. It has been many years since I have been in this kind of setting, but have always loved to write stories and poems. The Writing Center appears to be a wonderful resource that students can turn to when in need of help, advice, or direction. I believe that I will utilize their resources to help me prepare my essays, and heh! At my ripe age of 34, it is very easy to forget things that you remembered from school many, many years ago, grammer being one of them. Have you ever wrote a word many, many times, said it, knew what it meant, etc., and then one day wrote it and it didn't look right, you felt it peculiar, an odd word, or even speculated at how someone could create such a weird word? Happens to me all the time, and The Writing Center will help eleviate some of that stress!
